The Dive Center
Blue Tang Divers is a Dive & Watersports Center inside the well-known Hotel Iberostar Costa Dorada, created by several experienced dive instructors in 2002 who, after many years of working in different dive centers around the world, used all their experience and knowledge to create a dive center where customers are friends and where our main objective is looking after them and their families in order to make the most of the holiday .
Our international friendly team will plan your dive courses or dive packages according to your needs, ensuring that you, your family and friends can enjoy them all. Most of our trips are divers only, however we have included some days in which for divers and non- divers can enjoy together the secrets of the ocean or lakes.

Ex Dressel Divers Operation Manager in Mexico & Dominican Republic. A lover of nature, travelling and a writer. He is in charge of organizing the general operation. Usually in the company of his 5 dogs - with one exception: when he's underwater). You will surely share some moments with him before you return home. Be careful, he is always looking for characters for his next novel.
Ricardo Almeida Master Scuba Diver Trainer
From Lisbon, Portugal
Speaks English, French, Spanish and Portuguese
His job: To teach you how to dive. If you already know, you will share your experiences with him. He is in charge of the day planning and the dive operation. You dive with him and get to listen to his bad and repetitive jokes everyday.
Jhonny Medina Boat Captain

Our captain gets us moving to do what we do the best. He is also a helpful person who knows Puerto Plata and neighboring areas very well.
David Colon Assistant Instructor

Andrea Polanco Customer Service

She is the first person that you will meet upon arriving to our dive center. She will treat you as family, and help organize and plan the activities that you can do with us.
Peluca Tavarez Equipment Maintenance

The funniest person in the dive center. Also a key figure in the running of our operation and ensures our equipment works perfectly. He is our instructor for saling and windsurf lessons.

Our newest team member, he supplies the entertainment once the job is done. He is a master at play and helps us unwind. He is also part of our security team.
