Founded in 2002 by a team of experienced instructors, our dive center is a PADI Dive Center located inside the Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada, a 5-Star Resort in Puerto Plata.

Founder of Diving Puerto Plata
Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Francesc has been professionally involved in the diving world for over two decades.

For more than 25 years, he collaborated with Dressel Divers—one of the largest and most successful dive companies in the world—managing dive centers in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. He eventually decided to continue this journey independently, leading the dive center at Iberostar in Puerto Plata.

A true lover of nature, travel, and storytelling, Francesc has created a space where he combines his love for the sea, teaching, and a peaceful life with his dogs. He is the one organizing and guiding your diving experience—from your first message to your final dive. With a warm, professional approach and deep respect for the ocean, he’ll accompany you with humor and care throughout your underwater adventure.
